Plastol-903 is a regular direct emulsion recommended for the Plastisol and Water base inks. Reclaiming of the cured film is easy. The screen may be reclaimed with our "Recall" which is available in a paste form. Pastol-903 produces high resolution and offers excel- lent coating properties. Plastol-903 has excellent water resistance.
Exposure: The distance for the exposure should be approx. 35 to 60 inches. The exposure should be adjusted based on variables such as fabric or mesh, thickness of the applied film and the intensity of the light source. A general guideline for the exposure time is as follows:
FLUORESCENT TUBES 40 WATTS 360 SECONDS
PULSED XENON 5,000 WATTS 65 SECONDS
CARBON ARC 36 AMPS 240 SECONDS
The amount of coating or the number of coats should be based on the type of printing required. Starting from one coat on the printing side and one on the squeegee side, you can put on two or three on the printing and three to five on the squeegee side. As the amount of coating on the screen is increased, a longer curing time is required. Since, Plastol-903 is a higher solid product, you get a heavier deposit per application.
