Scoop Coaters
A must-have tool for coating all direct liquid emulsions. Applies a smooth even coat of emulsion. Designed for easy grip, application, and cleanup.
It is usually best to get an emulsion scoop coater about 2-3 inches narrower than the inside screen frame width. Screen Coating should be performed with a scoop coater wide enough to cover the entire emulsion width in one pass. Most screenmakers, use a 2 coats of emulsion, one over the top of the other, on the substrate (shirt side) of the screen and then flip it over and give 1 more coat on the ink side. For heavier ink deposits or to increase the durability of the screen for longer runs additional coatings may desired after the the 1st application dries. This will provide a thicker more durable stencil.
